From Gaza to Belém

We just met a couple of representatives from the Palestinian Farmers Union and got chatting. It was really encouraging to hear that they were impressed by the demonstration of solidarity with Palestinians in the UK in response to the recent assault on Gaza. It is humbling but also slightly uncomfortable to hear praise for activists in the UK from Palestinian farmers; any obstacles we face are incomparable to the harassment and subjugation they experience on a daily basis.
