Annual General Meeting 2022

This year our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held online at 12 noon on Friday 27 May 2022.

Our AGM is open to all members and affiliates to attend. It gives you the chance to hear first-hand reports about what has been achieved over the past year, ask questions and vote on any resolutions presented at the meeting. If you're not a member of War on Want you can join us today with a regular donation using the link below – it takes just a few minutes.

Do you want to run for election?

War on Want's Council of Management is responsible for guiding the overall direction of our campaigns and partnerships with grassroots movements around the world, ensuring that funds are used correctly and ultimately holding the organisation accountable to our members.

As a member you can put yourself forward for election to our Council of Management. This is one of the things which makes us different from other organisations: we are driven by our membership. In addition to sharing War on Want's values and being passionate about fighting inequality and injustice we seek a range of skills; from campaigning experience and working with overseas partners to finance, legal, fundraising and communications.

At any one time we can have up to a maximum of 12 members acting as trustees on the Council and overseeing the organisation. Members are elected for a three-year term and the Council meets four times a year.

How does it work?
