International People’s Conference on Mining

EVENT DATE: 30 July - 1 August 2015

Location: Manila-Philippines

War on Want will be joining around 100 people from 28 countries at the International People’s Conference on Mining in Manila.

The conference will be a platform to expose the struggles of communities, workers and people affected by the mining corporations. It will host community leaders, trade unionists, environmental activists, scientists and many more staging victories and strategies to protect the environment and people. Participants will be building synergies to support local and global campaigns standing against abuses of mining corporations.

The conference is organised by War on Want’s partner Kalikasan, the People’s Network for the Environment and many other local and international organisations. For updates on the conference follow us on @waronwant
