Today, our right to protest is under attack. UK civil society groups have seen their voices stifled by new legislation such as the 'gagging law', and crackdowns on the right to take collective action. In this edition of Upfront read about the UK government's assault on our democratic rights and how the crackdown on the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement is intensifying.  Read too about some the successes War on Want has achieved with the use of collective action for a more socially just and equal world.
