Event
  • EVENT DATE: Saturday 15 July 2017, 11:15am
  • LOCATION: Royal London Hospital, Turner Street, (Off Whitechapel Road), London, E1 1BB

After 5 days of strike action, the striking cleaners and porters of St Barts Hospital Trust will be marching from the Royal London Hospital through the East End to Mile End hospitals. Featuring speeches from the strikers and also the striking cleaners from LSE.

For more information on the strike see the video below.

This demonstration is organised by Unite the Union. War on Want stands in solidarity with the more than 700 largely black and migrant hospital cleaners, security guards, catering staff and porters who are on strike in east London to demand 30p an hour pay rise. Their employer SERCO profits from both running migrant detention centres and from exploiting migrant labour in outsourced NHS services.

War on Want will be attending to offer our solidarity. Please join us.
