Stop the Arms Fair 2017: Stop Arming Israel Day of Action

DSEI, one of the world's biggest arms fairs, is coming to London this September. More than 1600 companies will participate, showcasing their weapons and making deadly deals with buyers from across the world in the ExCel Centre London.

Israel and its arms companies have a 'National Pavilion' at DSEI to advertise 'combat proven' weaponry, i.e. weapons that have been used to devastate and destroy Palestinian communities.

4 September will kick off a week of action in the run up to the arms fair. We'll be participating in this event coordinated by London Palestine Action and the Stop the Arms Fair coalition, and our encouraging our supporters to come along. We'll be there with Stop Arming Israel placards and will also have copies of our newest report, Deadly Investments, and other materials on hand.

Join us on 4 September for a day of creative action to Stop Arming Israel.

Bring creativity, energy, banners, flags & drums!

"Lift the Ban" on Asylum Seekers Working

War on Want is a part of a coalition of organisations calling on the government to "Lift the Ban" on people seeking asylum working.

People seeking asylum are given just £5.39 per day to meet all their essential living costs, including food, clothing, toiletries and transport and often the cost of their asylum application.
