Director of Income and Engagement

Full time, permanent

£58,950 rising on annual increments

War on Want also offers a 6% contributory pension scheme

Based in London

War on Want works to challenge the root causes of poverty, inequality and injustice through partnership with social movements in the South and by running hard-hitting campaigns in the UK in support of radical change.

You would be joining a small, engaged, and committed Senior Management Team with an Executive Director who is a confident public speaker and good at maintaining donor relationships.  You would be managing a talented team of 6 people.

Every member of the War on Want team is proud of the difference the charity (and our partners) make to people across the globe. Each of us appreciates the importance of fundraising but both our SMT and Council of Management (our Trustees) lack specific expertise in this field.

We are hoping to find a Director of Income and Engagement(s) who can help move us in the right direction whilst maintaining our values and principles. If you see these challenges as opportunities and would be interested in supporting us to make the necessary changes, please do apply. We are happy to make any of the reasonable adjustments necessary to help us recruit the right person, or people, into the role.

Application pack downloadable below.

Application deadline:  12 noon Monday 1 June 2020

Date for interviews:  17-18 June 2020

War on Want is a registered charity no 208724. We actively encourage applicants from ethnic minorities and aim to be an equal opportunities employer.
