Proposing Resolutions or Constitutional Amendments (AGM 2024)
Ordinary Resolutions
Any individual, household or affiliate member of War on Want may propose an ordinary resolution or constitutional amendment to the Articles of Association for consideration by members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Resolutions must be seconded by a fellow member of War on Want, but if you do not know any other War on Want member, we can usually help to facilitate this by providing a seconder. Please contact David Rudkin at drudkin@waronwant.org for further assistance. A copy of War on Want’s current Articles of Association can be found here.
The resolution or amendment should be proposed in writing on the form at the bottom of this page and returned to David Rudkin:
By email: drudkin@waronwant.org
By post: David Rudkin, War on Want, 44-48 Shepherdess Walk, London N1 7JP
The deadline for receipt of resolutions and amendments is 12pm (noon) Tuesday 28 May 2024. Any proposed resolutions or amendments received after this deadline will be declared invalid.
All valid resolutions and constitutional amendments will be distributed to members in advance of the AGM so that they have an opportunity to consider them.
Emergency Resolutions
In an emergency, resolutions may be submitted for consideration by the AGM after the deadline for receipt of ordinary resolutions. Emergency resolutions must be submitted by 1pm on Wednesday 31 July 2024.
For a resolution to be considered on this basis it must:
- Relate solely to matters that have taken place since 12pm (noon) Tuesday 28 May 2024
- Be seconded and submitted in writing on the relevant form to David Rudkin no less than 48 hours before the AGM is due to take place
