This is a voluntary position where reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with War on Want’s expenses guidelines.

War on Want is seeking an experienced financial professional to become a Trustee and join the Council of Management in providing financial oversight and advice in the role of a voluntary Treasurer. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance or auditing professional to join a dynamic and passionate team.

As Treasurer, you will play a key role in supporting War on Want’s Board and Senior Management Team to develop and implement our strategy. You will have experience in overseeing financial, internal controls and risk management matters of the charity in line with good practice, our governing document and legal requirements and will report on these to the Board.

The Treasurer is expected to attend and chair quarterly Finance and Resources Committee (FRC) Meetings and attend quarterly Board meetings.
