This year our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held online, and will start at 1pm Friday 2 August 2024 and last for approximately 75 minutes. Please note that in order to attend the virtual AGM you will need to register in advance here.
Our AGM is open to all members and affiliates to attend. It gives you the chance to hear first-hand reports about what has been achieved over the past year, ask questions and vote on any resolutions presented at the meeting. If you're not a member of War on Want you can join us today with a regular donation – click here to set up your membership – it takes just a few minutes.
If you aren’t able to make it and vote on the day, you can vote online in advance of the AGM by voting here:
You can view the official notice of the AGM at the bottom of this page.
War on Want's annual report and accounts for the year ended 31 March 2023 are available here.

Resolutions
At the upcoming AGM, we will vote on two special resolutions, which can be found at the bottom of this page. We will also be voting to approve the annual accounts and to appoint War on Want’s auditors. If you are an individual member of War on Want, please vote here. Alternatively, if you are voting on behalf of an affiliated organisation, please vote here.
Emergency resolutions
In an emergency, resolutions may be submitted for consideration by the AGM after the deadline for receipt of ordinary resolutions. Emergency resolutions must be submitted by 1pm on Wednesday 31 July 2024.
For a resolution to be considered on this basis it must:
- Relate solely to matters that have taken place since 12 noon Tuesday 28 May 2024
- Be seconded and submitted in writing on the relevant form to David Rudkin no less than 48 hours before the AGM is due to take place
Please email all notifications to drudkin@waronwant.org or send them to David Rudkin, War on Want, 44-48 Shepherdess Walk, London N1 7JP.
The resolutions should be seen in a tandem whereby the first resolution amends the Articles of Association to include various updates to bring the Articles in line with best governance advice. The second resolution confirms that all relevant provisions from the historic Memorandum of Understanding have been now reflected in the updated Articles, thus, creating one comprehensive document that unites all relevant governance information instead of two.
