Senior Campaigner – Economic Justice (Maternity cover – 6 months)
£42,785.43 rising on an annual incremental basis. War on Want also offers a 6% contributory pension scheme.
Hybrid working. One day a month at War on Want’s head office, more in-person days required on an ad-hoc basis.
War on Want works to challenge the root causes of poverty, inequality, and injustice through partnership with social movements in the Global South and by running hard-hitting campaigns in the UK in support of radical change.
We are looking for a Senior Campaigner to lead on the delivery of high quality outputs for our Economic Justice work including to oversee our current trade justice campaigns against ISDS, investor-state dispute settlement and the Energy Charter Treaty as a maternity cover role.
With experience gained through volunteering, activism, or campaigning, we are looking for someone with knowledge of social justice issues, and aligned with War on Want’s vision and mission, and keen to work within a fast-paced campaigning organisation. This role is varied and includes: drafting and producing campaign actions, contributing to social media output on economic justice issues; representing War on Want externally in networks and at events, liaising with WoW supporters as well as keeping up to date with all relevant issues relating to our work in this area.
