Global Green New Deal

We campaign for a just transition to fairer, greener societies and economies, to protect people and planet.

To tackle the climate crisis and growing inequality, we need a just transition of our societies which goes further than ending fossil fuels or creating green jobs. It must tackle the causes of injustice: the exploitation of workers, the plunder of the Global South, and the destruction of nature. Power and wealth must be shared fairly, so that everyone can thrive within the Earth’s limits. This is our vision of a Global Green New Deal.

Explainers

From drilling for oil and gas to industrial agriculture, communities in Latin America and beyond are bearing the environmental and social costs of this extraction.
Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) lets corporations sue governments in secret ‘corporate courts’ for implementing policies – such as to protect the climate – that could impact a corporation’s future profits.
At a time when world leaders deny climate 'change', what exactly are the facts about our rapidly heating world?

Reports

A transition away from fossil fuels must be just, equitable and ecological — this is central to our vision for a Global Green New Deal.
