Tax, trade and debt

By transforming our global economy, we can tackle inequality and create a fairer world.

The global economy generates extreme wealth and power for corporations and the already super-rich, while keeping billions in poverty. We are campaigning to transform our global economy – through a tax on the wealth of the super-rich, for a global system to tackle corporate tax-dodging, and for trade deals that work for people, not corporations. We stand in solidarity with Global South calls to cancel foreign debts that trap countries in poverty.

Explainers

The UK government must join global efforts to coordinate wealth taxes and urgently tax those with more than £10 million in assets.
US President Trump's tariffs will hit workers the hardest because of our our rigged trade system – which reinforces colonial dynamics.
To rebuild from austerity and tackle the climate crisis, the UK government must support an ambitious UN Tax Convention.
