Climate

We stand with Global South communities on the frontlines of climate breakdown – and campaign for climate justice.

Across the planet, corporations are extracting oil, gas and minerals for ‘green’ technologies – driving climate breakdown while presenting false ‘solutions’ to the climate crisis, to guarantee their profits. We hold UK-based mining corporations to account for their destructive operations, and stand with our Global South partners and human rights defenders on the frontlines of climate violence. We campaign for climate justice and a Global Green New Deal to protect people and planet.

Explainers

The world is in crisis. Only a just transition to societies rooted in equality and harmony with our planet – through a Global Green New Deal – can ensure dignified lives for all.
A truly just transition must put energy under democratic control, and stop the exploitation of the Global South.
When food, land, and water — our basic human rights — are treated as profit-making ‘assets’, what happens to people and the planet, and how can we win these essentials back for everyone?

Reports

A transition away from fossil fuels must be just, equitable and ecological — this is central to our vision for a Global Green New Deal.
